Disco Friday

Yesterday was supposed to be my last post of the week, but then I realized I had succumbed to one of my self-imposed cardinal blog sins: Complaining! Please, please, please excuse my wailing and moaning! And what can I say? Today the sun came out and immediately my spirits rose. I got so enthusiastic I took a pair of scissors and cut myself a fringe. (Oh no! Bad mistake!! I still haven't solved the hairdresser situation and also giving myself a haircut makes me feel terribly recession smug, a la 'See I can save money, too!'). Then I put on my favourite disco pants*, painted my finger and toe nails and did a little 'hello there, nearly weekend' dance. This also gave me a nice opportunity to show the blouse again I wore yesterday because it's actually not a blouse, but a velvet jacket from the 70s and every time I put it on I feel like John Travolta...

Dancing or not - Wishing you a happy weekend!

*Actually not really, these topshop pants have the worst cut ever and I will have to say more about this!

Sabine - the fringe is nice on you!, but as a word of advice, stay AWAY from the scissors because once you start, you can't stop....
oh and how do you get a pair of abs like yours please?

Yeah, dance and back to the 70's! I am a John Travolta fan. He is amazing disco dancer in the film Sunday night part.

I suffered a haircut disaster not long ago.. still complaining about it. I do like clogs (used to have one red pair when I was a kid, haha). Fabulous dance mix ;)!

I like this post! Are they sequined pants? I find that so many sequined clothing items are just not cut right. :s

Joanne - Actually that is the problem. The trousers have a terrible cut (which I only discovered at home, having bought them in the sales without ptrying them on). I really wonder if I could make something else from them. Will keep you updated.

The sequin pants are a hit! The jacket is awesome. I am glad that you had a mood-lift towards the weekend. I always like weekends to be good, so they bring in a good Monday. Hope the high spirits continue.

The content warning page on my blog has been there since somebody (hope not my reader) many moons ago decided to flag my blog, google of course never checked if the blog actually needs a disclaimer and that's the story of it. Not pretty, but I can't really do anything about it.

I love the sequins! Happy weekend to you too!

It doesn't bother me that much anymore, but I would love to get rid of it. I have contacted google, but nothing helps. Usually they don't even response to me and if they do it is on some foreign language that I don't understand at all. It would mean the world if you could tell me who had the same problem if they would still remember where they contacted etc.

I always think that cutting my own hair is such a novel idea until I'm left with some lopsided fringe! Cute jacket x

Your outfit posts always make me giddy, Sabine. You have a way of putting together the most fabulous ensembles - loving all the sequins featured in this particular look!! :)

I've always been too scared to cut my own hair. Even when my fringe just needs a slight trim, I freak out and go to the salon!
Also, i love your cute little jacket! :D

Disco is my favourite era. And look. Love it!

And don't feel too bad about the fringe. I PAID and got a bad fringe, so you're still the winner there.
