Feeling Blue

Not being long-legged, blonde and healthy looking enough, I’ve never seen myself as much of a Ralph Lauren girl. Nonetheless I’ve absolutely fallen for his spring 2010 collection which followed his vision oft the American worker, farmer, pioneer and cowboys (& cowgirls) of the 1930s.

Great depression, great recession… The look is so comfy, I could spend every day in boyfriend jeans and a roomy denim shirt. Or is jeans all over just too much denim for you?

jeans: combo, shirt: stüssi, belt: thrift store

Jean on Jean! Do you watch family guy? Because they did a great satirical sketch about it.

I like the idea of the true working man(or woman), it is patriotic.

Mmh so even if I am not especially fan of "total denim" look, I have to say that I really like the way the barefoot perspective's so casual/sexy vibrancy combined with the slightly exposed bra Here subtly tend to "sensualize" it . . .

I really like this look, but don't think I can carry it off as fantastically as you.
By the way, absolutely love your skill with a camera. Amazing!

Joy - I sometimes watch Family Guy and it always cracks me up, but I missed the one about Jean on Jean, sadly.
Angie - Thank you so much! I sometimes despair because the pictures don't look as I have visualised them. But I'm learning...

Oh you pull of Ralph Lauren beautifully! This is a great look. Clearly you don't have to be blonde to look great in RL :)

Loved the looks you picked and the retro feel. Not sure if I could rock such blatant double denim though, I tend to keep it more subtle and mix tones if I have to.

I love denim; but...I rarely wear it anymore. I literally live in leggings nowadays. That said...you look AMAZING, Sabine! Honestly, the first picture of you looks like something out of a Ralph Lauren advert - gorgeous!! :)

I really love denim on denim. I don't have denim tops but I love to pair my jeans with blue tops.

ps. If those sunglasses looked good on me and if I had the cash, I would so rock them. Who knows maybe I'll find a knock off somewhere.
