In winter we’ll all be back to black anyway, since after a lot of colourful spring/summer collections most designers have turned to a restrained palette of beige/camel and black for autumn/winter. I absolutely adored Stefano Pilati’s ‘sexy nuns’ for Yves Saint Laurent . Yes, it might have looked a bit like he’d raided the wardrobe of a bishop, but high waists and high necklines made for restrained, elegant, but still very sensual clothes. Since I sadly don’t own anything YSL my new Sonia Rykiel for H&M jumpsuit had to do for my ‘fille noire’.
Personally I quite like black in summer (especially with tanned skin) (Although the pictures are far away from both). What about you?

This post speaks to me because, although I love Spring, I seriously have a weakness for black clothes. I think it's because of my coloring but black just looks good on me. Your jumpsuit is perfect for this, YSL or not.

The majority of my wardrobe is black. I only get tempted to add some color in the beginning of spring but I always go back to black. Especially in the summer with a tan. That's when it looks best :)

Love the black jumpsuit. I love black too, for all seasons. I went to a wedding NYC last year and the dress I wanted to wear was black. I asked a New Yorker friend whether black was OK to wear to a summer wedding and she said, 'Black is OK in New York anytime.'

I'd wear black anytime, anywhere. I don't restrict colors to seasons- of course, the only season here is summer, which makes dressing easier, although it does get boring...

I completely agree with you about black -- it's the one color that never goes out of season. I have red hair and fair skin so black always complements them. I've also discovered that I look awful in pastels. I need rich, saturated colors.

I too love black in the summer, with a tan and brown leather accessories. I saw a black cotton maxi dress in H&M today - may have to go pick it up soon! :)

You make it look so elegant! I'm personally for colors, etc, especially white! But I have such a tendency to overheat that black just facilitates that process, especially in the summer!
I love all black summer outfits, especially with gladiator sandals and exotic jewellery, there's something quite sophisticated about the look.

I have an endless supply of black in my wardobe. Though I love colors, there's nothing like my trusty and versatile black pieces. You look awesome in that jumpsuit! Great shots at the gate. Do you take these with a tripod?
