Maybe I didn’t read the heel size correctly, maybe I was seduced by the transparent plastic straps (so Prada!)… one thing’s for sure – when I had them on my feet, there was no way back. Who cares if I can't walk, they give me long legs and that’s all I care for (right now, sitting on my chest of drawers).
Apart from the walking problem there is another issue: Shoes like these (open toe, open heel!) demand flawless feet. Sounds like it’s time for my first pedicure.

These are gorgeous! Lately, I've been having a hard time wearing heels since I'm in flat/loafers most days. But these would be perfect for a night out, granted there's a deep soak afterwards!

yes i have. mine aren't exactly prada, but i walked by a store aimed at "ladies of the night" and in the window i saw a 7 inch, velvet peep tow spectator style pump. and i was hooked. i've worn it out once, and there is no way i can wear the shoe without the company of a friend whose arm i can hang onto.... sigh. but worth it (and those pradas are quite stunning!)

I have five pairs of shoes and boots that I can't actually walk in, and of course they're my best ones. I try them on and think 'Oh yes, I can do this' and then 10 minutes into the evening I'm wishing for a wheelchair.

Let's just say I have a few shoes that are stunning to look at and impossible to walk in ;-) Congrats on your gorgeous purchase. I suspect these might be 'taxi shoes' then? It's such a shame that the most stunning pieces are rarely the most practical ones, but then again, nothing beats the feeling of walking (even if it's just five steps) in sky high stilettos.

absolutely! they are amazing! and they look quite comfortable for a high heel. I've decided to not even think about buying a heel higher than 10cm. simply can't stand tall in anything higher than that.

and get a pedi! you will love it! i had a mani/pedi this weekend, and i busted out some 4" wedges today. i am SIX FEET TALL TODAY, which is kind of ridiculous. i don't wear the high shoes very often, but i have to admit that they can make you feel rather sexy and empowered. particularly when towering over the men. :)
