Brown Again - with Pink (& Turquoise)

I absolutely agree, brown doesn’t have to be boring. Some of you suggested brown and rosé or brown and red… How about brown and pink?

I also finally found my nude shoes.*

*Love them so much, they'll get an extra post.

You are truly a risk taker, my dear Sabine. Certain color combinations are very difficult to make work. Brown and pink is one of those "difficult" combinations. For me it is always about the texture of the fabric. I can see brown tweed in combination with pink silk blouse or cami.:-) It does not apply to you - you can put a paper bag over yourself and still look like a million dollars! You look fantastic!:-)

Ohhh, THANK YOU, Anya! This is an extremely strong pink, but the silk is so fantastic... I'm still looking for a way to wear the dress.

I think it's a very risky color combination so it takes a lot of careful handling with the styles too. Pink is still a nice color though.

I actually wear brown and pink all the time. I absolutely love hte combination. It makes me think of chocolate ice cream topped with strawberries or cherries. Wird, I know. You look lovely, Sabine!! :)

Indeed, Sabine is a risk taker, and a beautiful one too! I can imagine a pink- brown embroidered silk dress or a retro cotton bag in turquoise, pink, brown and white;-)

I love the colour combination, especially the turquoise detailing. But the layered skirts are something else, the combination of the straight and the more a-line. Fantastic look

Not that you were looking for compliments, but I really can't see how you would have any bulge whatsoever in your waist. That said, I absolutely love this outfit. I can't tell you how hard it is to find skirts with layers or that are long enough for me. Thank you for this inspiration.

These are my absolute favourite colour combinations: I love this and the proportion of just a little turquoise! I really really love this. Okay I'll shut up now ; ) x
