Psynopsis Maledetti Toscani Suede Jacket DKNY Trousers Decathlon Boots

Psynopsis Maledetti Toscani Suede Jacket DKNY Trousers Decathlon Boots Collage
Now that I'm living in the beautiful English countryside I have this romantic dream of taking fashion pictures in nature. But when I try to put my ideas into action I normally end up close to a nervous breakdown. It starts with avoiding dog walkers and ramblers, goes on with changing clothes and shoes in hostile environment and ends with trying to climb up hills and trees while getting all your pretty clothes dirty (or worse ripped)... And where the heck did I put the remote control?!?!

The main idea for this shoot was to show you my 90s DKNY trousers whose shape was totally outdated for years. But I’m starting to think they don’t look so bad anymore… What’s your opinion about 90s style, high-waisted, pleated trousers?

In the end I just couldn’t deal with the high heels any more and put on my walking boots. And the white wrap around my arm is not my latest idea of a fashion accessoire, but I’ve developed a slight tennis elbow. You won’t believe how much court cred you get with such a thing - It's like a badge of honour. Other tennis players come up to me, nodding their heads seriously and pointing at my arm: "Tennis elbow? Your first one?", followed by lots of empathy and advice. I feel like a wounded soldier coming back from the fields. Finally everyone can see that I’m a true heroine! I have to admit I’m quite tempted to make the wrap a permanent feature (at least on the court).

Now that I’ve done my whinging bit I have to say that the whole hiding from others, finding good places and being out and about is actually good fun and I’m sure it won’t be me last shot 'à l’air libre'.

trousers: dkny, top: 2nd hand, suede jacket: maledetti toscani, high heeled boots: fendi, flat boots: decathlon

Digging the trousers! Yes, the bandage does look add a bit of toughness to the look like you came out of battle! xo, mel

Love the trousers and yes would definitely keep the bandage on the arm (tennis elbow does last for such a long time!)Thanks for visiting.

I actually think the trousers are contemporary and look great with heels. I played tennis throughout my teens, though I never got away with a tennis elbow. I really want to start again if I find the time!

Love the trousers! I think you wear them well - the silhouette is nice with the heels :)

Sabine amongst the trees. Very nice, my dear! I think the trousers are great ( they never go out of style ). And I can see that you wear them well;-)

You sexy woman! You look hot and those pants are so not out of date. Love them. I would wear them even if they werent trendy cause they are gorgeous. Love your l'air libre pics. It looks like you had a lot of fun taking them!

90's trousers? Now I'm convinced you look good in everything you wear.
And that location is exactly where I want to live for the rest of my life. So beautiful, like in a movie!

Jen said...

Haha - oh Sabine! Your tennis elbow story really did make me giggle. I can imagine the reverence a survivor of such an ordeal is treated with on the courts! :)

I'm having a real trousers moment. The 90s style is my favourite - there's something very flattering about high waists and pleats!

LOVE the pants! Hells yeah for the high waist, they look great on you! You do have to be nice and thin to wear them, though, hence, they look fab! I love tennis, have yet to experience the joys of tennis elbow, though, hope you feel better. Also, I did add the Bloglovin button on my blog, thanks for the reminder as I had meant to do this!

I love those pants on you! I've thought about trying them, but I already have generous hips and thighs... haha. I always struggle with taking my own photos. You have a remote? Yes, you would be happier finding it!

Beautiful post. I love the location. Tennis elbow - I dont play tennis but have had it too. I seer well clear of steriod injections (which the medical profession love to perscribe). Accupuncture cured mine. Admittedly it took a lot of accupuncture but I have been free of it for years now. I wish you well. Xxxx

Aww, the location is definitely worth trekking through though! All this greenery is amazing! And you rock the pants, I wish I had some 90s high waisted pants lying around:)

Ohhhh I covet your arms, your hair and how you look in these trousers!!
...and love all that tennis elbow look...!! [groan. lame joke!]

I love high-waisted trousers like this but only certain body types can wear them, yours being most certainly one of them. You look so fab! (High waisted 'hip friendly' palazzo style for me!)

I love these pics! Oh don't worry, if someone asks what you're doing, just wave your hand Jedi style and say; "it is all okay. I am a blogger"... :D

Style Odyssey said...

i do like those trousers! i've come around to appreciating high-waisted pants and skirts again...they add a bit of drama, i think. add a statement belt and beautiful shoes to make it look bold and "now".

Ohmigosh Sabine your hair looks phenomenal against the lush green foliage in the background. What a stunning ensemble! You never cease to amaze me with your phenomenal style!! :)

AND I have to say that beyond this high-waisted / pleated trousers question I (without any kind of hesitation) vote FOR the first one look : Bare shouders caressed by flaming RED hair, Here it just sounds like "pastoral Sensuality at its Best" !!!

Your hair looks so good in contrast with the green backgrownd.
I love the pants, ok, I'm not a huge fan of the 90's (and I grow up in that years, figure) but they look so good. The thing is now how to wear them.

Kisses!!!

drollgirl said...

what a gorgeous setting for pictures! but i KNOW it is easier said than done to get fab pictures in a forest, particularly if one is wearing HEELS! eek!

and wear that badge of honor! you've earned it! a little sympathy and a little empathy really can feel great! :) i used to wear knee braces when i went running (this was LONG ago), and it is true that others can relate. sometimes they have tips that are helpful, too (mainly it was STOP RUNNING ON CONCRETE, YOU MORON!)! :)

S.Elisabeth said...

Ahah well at least your pain gives you some court cred!
And I know exactly how you feel! I always feel weird taking pictures as I live in the suburbs and am surrounded by houses!
And basically, only you could pull off these pants. They would look awful on anyone else!

Haha, I can totally empathise with taking pics in the countryside. I can't even make it to my back garden without feeling utterly ridonculous and deeply paranoid that the neighbours are watching me.

As for high-waisted pleated trousers, they are my weakness at the moment and I love them. Terribly chic!
