Give me 3 holidays, un-perfect weather and a stomach bug and I can get so productive, I impress myself. First on my list was – real life shopping (not online, but going to the shops… This must count as a productive activity, no?) and on our tour we stumbled into Next. I’ve never been to Next before and in the shop I made a beeline to their olive and grey-blackish coloured 'treggings' (have you ever heard of 'treggings'? Leggings, duh, jeggings, yes, but treggings???). Anyway, they are nearly as cool as the J Brand’s Houlihans which EVERYONE in America is buying these days; but while a pair of Houlihans cost $233 the Next treggings are only £25.- (which should be like $30?). So I went all out and bought both colours.
They do have a problem though… The cut is not perfect. They leave a space at the back (you know, when the fabric stands off at the spine). And this is where my first DIY job came in: Stencilling some holes in the back and pulling a leather strip through to tighten them. It’s not ideal, but for that price I really can’t be bothered.
trousers: next, blouse: costume national, shoes: russell & bromley, bag: diy

the khaki against your red hair looks immense hon xxx
Great shirt. Hope you're feeling 100% now after your tummy bug. xx
i love that shirt, the color and everything is great.
p.s,, i hope your feeling better, big hug
Oh, thank you, it's not that bad - just bad enough to have an excuse to be lazy. I do love the blouse, too (it's costume national), but no one seems impressed by the trousers... Oh well.
do get better soon, sabine! looking stunning in that gorgeous blouse, and you're hair, ah it's incredible :)
I want your red hair :<
i love the blouse, its gorgeous!
Love the green one. But treggins, never heard of! What a smart idea with the knot in the back, I have always the same issue.
You look stunning in that green blouse :-)

Those "Treggings" Look awesome on you! What a cleaver way to help with that gap! Your photos are so beautiful!
I hope you have a great weekend. :) - Cristi
ahhh... a modern day Wood Faerie or... in treggings no less!!
Now please someone tell me what treggings are!! Trouser leggings? So... skinnies?? Or tights that look like pants??
That J Brand pair was made [more] famous by the Sea of Shoes girl, I like them but I don't see the big deal. You can get pants like that everywhere!
I like your pants very much, love the colour, love your DIY and love the blouse!
...also love the collage!
Hope you're feeling better hon, but you obviously didn't let the bug bug you. :) (lame I know!)
your heair color is so gorgeous! and it's makes fantstic effect with the green blouse combined!
I had when pants do that. Love the green with your colouring.
Get better soon hon, love the outfit!
Love the blouse and the fabulous idea of the knotted trouser back...positively inspired! Going to have to pinch that!
Next? I always thought that place was all worksuits and middle-of-the-road clothing, how wrong I am.
Hate those fashion-y words...treggings, jeggings...eughh!
Feel better soon!

i love that shirt...every day amazing
Aha, treggings! Interesting. Trouser leggings, right? I've seen a few pairs about but as I'm not a fan of leggings nor jeggings, I wasn't sure treggings would be any better. They look FAB on you though, especially with your leather addition! :) x
wow your red hair is so shiny!

Ah, Sabine I just have to say that your hair is stunning - I adore the color! That sheer blouse looks lovely against it! :)
Nice shot as always. And good solution for the back of your treggings.
I have to say I love you, thank you so much for your comments and for alerting me to and thinking I am good enough to take a shot at the Vogue street style comp. Thank you so much.
Xxxx
Wow that shirt is fab Sabine! And good fix for your treggins. I honestly have never heard of them either :)
thanks a lot!!!
and I´m completely the opposite
I´m always out shopping, never online
amazing!
Ooooh i love your treggings solution!!! You are the cutest. I so jealous of your red hair! It is beyond gorgeous
That's so funny, because I was just going to comment that the leather tie at the back is my favorite part! Aren't you clever! Guess I need to check out the treggings fad, they look awesome on you. Are you watching the French Open? Did you see Henin play?
Shari - Thank you, I don't know if it's the ideal solution, but it's an easy one. Yes, I actually feel a bit guilty because I've been watching the French Open the WHOLE day. Lying on the sofa watching sport is so exhausting! I was a bit sad for Henin, but Stosur was just very strong.
oooh i am loving the green ensemble here! And I love the little DIY you've done here :)

Love your hair color! So vibrant!
I always have a tailor get rid of the gap in the back of jeans...it's an easy fix and saves me the hassle of having to look for PERFECT-fitting jeans.
That blouse is such an incredible piece!
ooh the treggings are classy and chic. Great color!

What a beautiful shirt! I like the green tones.

Gorgeous green shirt, love a bit of DIY too

The lil knot at the back looks like it's part of the original style, you're very good in DIY! Haven't heard of treggings, not a surprise though that they would come up to something like that... next would be ZEGGINGS? lol!
I do like the colour of your blouse, I'm green with envy!
I can't sew to save my life so I'm quite impressed with your DIY. Nice contrast - flaming red against a light green blouse - perfect setting for a painter to capture.
Trust the lady is now feeling better after being "bugged" down. Watching tennis from the sofa? How decadent you are;-)
What a great DIY to fix up the fitting of the jeans; I would not have thought of that lol. Love the two toned top!
Digging the idea of treggings! And yes those Jbrand houlihans are in fact hot hot hot!
:)
such a nice look darling.
i love green!
xx
gah! love these colors on you! they look fab with your red locks!
and i think your seamstress job is perfect! well done, as that gap at the butt is NOT a good thing! sadly i never have that problem, as i have more than enough at the back door! :)
I like the entire outfit especially your pants!
You do have lovely coloring, Sabine. The treggings look so cozy and comfy.
