Football, Tennis & Economisation

With all my time dedicated to either suffering for England in the football worldcup or analysing slice and top spin at Wimbledon (oh Roger, what happened to you?!? Scraped through though – Uff!), it’s not so easy to find time for blogging (not to mention other activities, such as earning money)… Outfit posts are now done on the run and after yesterday’s Rick Owens photo shoot I thought: Wouldn’t this go well with my new Chinese wrap jacket (which my parents brought back from their recent China trip*)? It’s lovely open or tied and I adore the little laps**. I think it’s the perfect summer jacket…

Well, gotta keep it short today because I have to return to muscular legs and impressive forehands! Are you watching the football (or soccer for my lovely American friends) and/or Wimbledon?

Love & Kisses!

* Apart from stop-overs in Singapore I’ve never been to Asia. I’d really love to go! One day…
** Or would the correct word be 'folds'? (English = difficult)

your hair color is gorgeous!!
you look stunning!

Thank you, Jessica. Looking at the pictures now I think I should probably have brushed my hair a bit better - But that's what 'le football' does to you!

Ferferi said...

I too like your hair here. No need for a brush! Sabine may I ask what you work with? I am a bit curious now...

Jenni-pet-fur said...

I thought the hair rather artfully tousled. No changes to the hair, please. The outline would be far too severe with soigné hairdo. Excellent lighting which I notice is a speciality of yours!

I really like the jacket and it looks very versatile. You could wear it with many outfits. I love Wimbledon and I'm watching it right now while I reply to blog comments. It's a shame that the coverage is from 10.30pm-4.00am here.

Ferferi - No brushing then, much easier anyway ;-) I'm heading the German Department of an English supplements company. More health than fashion, but I like the health field, too.

Jenni-pet-fur - Thank you! The lighting so often gives me headaches.

Imogen - I know what you mean. I record everything to watch it in the evenings.

Hi Sabine,
I adore the tradition of the W. tennis!
It always reminds me of what I was doing a year ago summer at this time.
Rather like Christmas or Easter, you know a time honored tradition.

I was watching the World Cup the first week, but since the hubby has been away, I haven't had really kept up with the matches. But he's back today, so I'm sure I'll stay tuned.

As for the posts, I can make two days of activities stretch for a week's worth of posts ;o) So I hear you!! Gotta do what you gotta do!

Your English is good, what do you mean. But yes folds is better than laps - however did know what you were talking about. The jacket looks good with the dress.
Watching both the football and the tennis. My Mr Fashionistable likes to watch the big tournaments. I however am all for the legs and arms too. Xxxx

Another vote for the hair here, Sabine! Tres sexy and tousled, lovely. The jacket is fabulous with the dress, what a brilliant gift from your folks.
I haven't missed a football match throughout the entire World Cup tornament, how on earth shall I cope at Glastonbury?

As an expat, I usually feel especially homesick around Wimbledon time of year.
This year, however, I'm consoled at having 2 football teams to support in the knock-out stages. Sadly I'm not sure I rate England's chances against Die Deutschen, but hopefully the USA may get through. Either way, you're right, lots of sporting action to keep us from blogging!

Your wrap jacket is fabulous!

We are watching both. My husband records them, of course, since missing one would be a crime, in his opinion.
