Summer Time

The weather is so beautiful I feel I’ve got nothing to say… Apart from…. (actually, I think I've always got something to say) ...that wearing this skirt makes me realise there were times in my life when I found the time to sequin my clothes… This skirt is slowly falling apart, but I absolutely treasure it.

Hope you are well and are enjoying life. Love & Kisses!

skirt: levi’s/diy, t-shirt: topshop (collar cut open), sun glasses: chloe

Cute cute! I love the sequins and I love the casual look of the top. Great scenery, as always. You make me wish I lived in England.

Mat - Is it really so 90s? I wasn't aware of this, but then, the skirt is from the 90s - so, yes!

Fashionistable - It's VERY peaceful here. Sheep and cows and sheep and cows ;-)

I've hardly seen sequins on denim before! Those colours of the sequin really complement the denim well.

You sequinned this yourself?? Looks designer, like it cost a bomb. xx

Oh I love it!! I'm a sucker for sequins!...and oh gosh... I know how painful they are to sew on to anything so wow! That's very clever and gorgeous hon.

I used to make [and still sell] elaborate sequinned hipbags.

MarchMusings said...

The skirt looks so pretty- not a DIY job at all. Very nice work

SabinePsynopsis said...

Dusk - I'd love to see your sequin bags. On this skirt I sewed every single sequin by hand (I remember taking part in a very boring workshop when I did this).

Wow, I lovee the way your skirt looks! Great job, did you use a stencil??
I never knew that feet got bigger with age .. if anything, I feel like mine got smaller because my old shoes are now too big D:
Maybe in the future I'll regret giving away those big shoes .. dammit hahah :p

a m a z i n g - that skirt! great job! and wonderful pictures! ok, sequins... this is something even i can totally do myself. yes! now i only have to find something in my closet which could use a little embellishment (shouldn't be difficult). the difficult part will be finding sequins and that stuff here in dubai. ah no, bull.... - i will drive to the old part of the town (get stuck in traffic for at least 3 hours, die in the heat) and get the most gorgeous little perls and sequins in one of the countless little (indian and pakistani) fabric stores. perfect! sabine - your blog is so inspiring! dreaming of a dries-van-noten-like shawl or shirt. you'll be the first to see the result. sorry for the long comment but i got a little excited. :) keep on the good work and happy weekend!

I think i need to learn a few things from you about DIY. I tried to put some studs on my jeans & we nearly had an ambulance called ;-)
I love these pictures & the background as it signifies fun summer days in the country side.
Great work on the skirt btw!
