I ADORE it! It seems just the right mix of cool, stylish and lived in! I could slop about there very happily!!!
I do love that kind of house where everyone stays and feels reall at home... It's the best kind! I've never got the mix right, perhaps it's the owners who make it feel like that

I think you hit the nail on the head here... It's about loving your house and your surroundings, but being relaxed about it.

Oh, Sabine, I could move in right now. I love the pared down walls and floors combined with the ecclectic mix of kitsch and collectables.
Your friends really have a talent, my house is more like a junkyard.

This is their HOUSE? When I saw the pictures I thought they were from a magazine editorial!

I totally agree... there are few things better than chatting with old friends. I hope I am as good as keeping in touch with my friends when I 'grow up'!

The house has a bohemian feeling which I appreciate. I shall call round at the bookshop early August when in Berlin;-)

Oh, please do! I'm sure they'll be delighted.

i love these pictures!! And I have a couch at home, exactly like this, which has seen many a 'but I loved him/ it's not working' / 'oh god I love home' moments with enormous feelgoodness about it! And I completely relate to the 'friend' sentiment too...Btw, I am still thinking of easy option clothes from the last post, I was confused for me :D

What a cosy and wonderful ambiance in the house. They have a lovely home and you are so lucky to have them as friends and stay over :) You are right, what would we be without our friends!?!? I am guessing confused wanderers without anyone to rely up on and that would suck!!!

Sounds like a great group of interesting friends - and a beautiful house!

Gorgeous! That must be one hell of a big house. Dare I ask how big? ;-) Then again, Berlin is probably one of the few places where getting something that large is worth your money. I love these photographs... especially the piano one :)

What a great way to spend your vacation! Consider yourself fortunate to have lifelong friends that you've shared so many wonderful moments together! The place looks so warm and cozy and somewhere I would love to call home!

I was thinking this morning what an awesome writer you are and now I'm thinking this would be a great place for a fictional story to take place. I am so in love with it and how you described it. It's exactly how life should be.
