Vintage | Is This the Way to Nürburgring?

You didn't think I went home empty-handed from the yard sale, did you? Nope, I found this red vintage Jaeger dress. For me it was love at first sight. Red – tick, short – tick, 100% natural fibre – double tick… Honestly, I didn’t see the 'Ciao Bella' (and even if, I don't know if this would have stopped me).

Total exasperation from S… 'E.m.b.a.r.r.a.s.s.i.n.g. You'll look like a Ferrari fan!' 'Phhhh… What's wrong with channelling Michael Schumacher?' (apart fromt the chin).

red dress: jaeger, beige underdress: majestic paris, shoes: costume national, bag: diy

red is your color!!!! but your man's comment made me laugh! guys always try to ruin our fun! i had a pair of rather unique green sandals years ago, and my then boyfriend told me they looked too "eflin". gah! i could have killed him for that comment!

I love the Ciao Bella, I think it's cute! I totally get what you mean, but it's kind of kitschy cool, you can totally pull it off. I really love your blog, Sabine, just want to let you know, it and Vicki's are my two favorite fashion blogs, simple, chic, great photography, just a really good example of what (imho) a fashion blog should be. XX!

Ahhh, THANK YOU, Shari! It's great to get lovely feedback like this, because honestly, I have a tendency to beat myself up and rarely be happy with what I put out there. (Oh dear... bit of soul searching on a Tuesday morning)

Re THE WINDOW - I have to check which building this is exactly. It's close to Charing Cross - St. Martin's?

Haha, I love your daughter's response!! I really like it, it suits you well!

I love it! You wear it so well. But of course you do...you wear everything perfectly :)

And are you wearing it on top of another dress or is that part of the dress? Either way I think it looks fabulous!

Hope you're having a wonderful week, sweetie xoxo

Oh, thank you, Dawn. That's a thin cashmere/cotton dress underneath. Feels quite wonderful, and I thought it takes a bit off the 'sexy edge'.

Who takes your pictures? They are incredible! So true to styling and theme :)

@ RepublicOfChic - Uhh, thank you! I normally work with self-timer, but in crowded places like London (as in these pictures) I ask a friend to push the button.

Sabine, it's fabulous! I am so NOT a red person - any time I've tried, I just feel wrong wrong (it's almost like an allergy, it's hard to explain: I just don't feel right). And you look so right in it!

I assume S is your husband, man oh man, now in addition to us meeting, we're going to have to get together with our men, if only for a sociology experiment. That is so what mine would say!

Love the way you styled it, your smile, your sense of not taking it all too seriously. And the red shoes! It's matchy matchy, but not TOO matchy matchy, you know? Of course you do.

That is also really spooky about watching the Time Machine. I was watching it alone - he was in the bedroom reading - and I kept begging him to come in, just to see the special effects. Come to think of it, the red 'lava' after the atom bomb dropped, when mother nature responded with the volcano.. pretty much the same shade of tomato as your bellisimo Ciao Bella polo dress.

Love that church window, too. What a great post. xo

p.s. Yes, today heating is allowed! It's like that old rule, no white after Labour Day. Or was that just in the States.

What a great place to take pictures! I really love the architecture of that last picture! And of course you look stunning, as always! :)(Even if you do have a cheesy chiao bella' stuck on you :)
