LFW | The Real Paparazza

One thing I’ve learned at London Fashion Week is how difficult I am finding it to photograph other people. I think deep down in my heart lives some kind of paparazza, a 'picture stealer'. But after watching professionals like Hanneli (yes, as many of you guessed right, it's her in picture no. 2*) or the lovely Dvora from Fashionistable in action and being inspired by the enthusiasm of the delightful D from The Nyanzi Report, Sarah from We Shop Therefore We Are**, Jen from StyleEast and Saskia from notjustmedical (Jen and Saskia are the ladies left and right in picture no. 3***; and btw, the lady in pic no. 4 is Shini from Park & Cube, but many of you knew that already) I thought: 'Come on, you can do this!' And I did. Which means I do not only have photos from people’s backs****, but this one I like a lot because the idea of using your stockings as pockets is just SO CLEVER!

*She was really sweet and actually thanked me for asking her if I could post her picture.

**Realising that I’ve met all these wonderful bloggers and have not taken pictures of all of them makes me feel really bad now, but honestly, I’m still learning to be bold with the camera. Next time!

***…and in the middle that’s Sherin from
HiFashion.

***Which I‘ll proof in the next few days, when I’ve managed to catch up with some sleep.

That photo is so stylish, and yet there is something just a little silly about her pose, the way the skirt is draping her behind. :)

That was Sarah! Oh I totally should have guessed that! And I totally agree with you- although I love to have my photo taken. I usually hate the results.

That is a cute idea with the stockings :) But yes, so difficult to take photos of other people, even if everyone else is doing the same thing. Anyhow, everyone looks so beautiful!

He he he, this is basically what I did too, just took photos of people from the back! Was so so nice to see you at LFW, even if it was only for a little while - hope to do it again sometime.

Hahaha!!! I have the SAME phobia, Sabine! I just feel really uncomfortable taking street pics. I'm not sure why, everyone seems to do it! I just think that it's a reflection of big "personal bubble". I'm working on it though, because I *LOVE* street photography!

It's fabulous Sabine! This photo is so chic yet slightly quirky {in a very good way} at the same time! Brilliant idea for pockets. Can't wait to see more of your fabulous work :)

Hope you're having a great day, honey! xoxo

I think it's a great photo, and her outfit is really cool! It stands out.

I'm having a hard time myself taking photos of people I don't know. On holiday in Croatia this summer, I spotted one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen in my whole life aboard a ferry. She looked like Gisele, only younger, probably 15-16 years old. The features of her face was incredible, an instant eye cathcer, and her outfit was fab too. I so wanted to walk up to her and ask her if I could take a picture, but she was with a group of friends and I guess I felt too embarrased to ask.

...plus your outfit as definitely a Dolce Vita vibe!!!
Poor Fellini, if he watched what's going on nowadays ;)

Anyway... I have to say I ADORE your outfit, it's so Helmut Newton, so brilliantly German-but-not-so-German, I can't express what I'm trying to say so I'll stop. But I LOVE it.
