Take 10 #2 - Schuh-bi-Doo

The lace vest was a styling challenge, but brogues are a real wearing challenge – for me, that is – because… I just don’t wear flat shoes. Maybe sometimes trainers for sporty moments or to give my feet a rest, but even my most comfortable shoes have a 2 inch heel. The simple reason being that an extra 2-3 inches push me from 167cm to around 175cm, the height I think I should rightfully be.

But flat shoes it was and I have to admit that these
pink brogues from Schuh actually are not only comfortable, gee, they are pretty, too.
Oh, I nearly forgot… Le Styling… I thought the colour called for more pink-rosé, which is why I’ve combined them with some vintage Marc Aurel trousers. As a top I fancied a cropped camel suede t-shirt, but even after having searched the high street and the internet high and low I couldn’t find what I was phantasising about.* So this 2nd hand fake suede blazer needs to convey the idea.
And you can also check out what the other Take 10 girls Jen, Sarah, Shini, MJ, Sherin, Leia, Vicki, Adele and Saskia have come up with:

*Suggestions are very much appreciated because I really fancy one.
jacket/top: 2nd hand, belt: missoni, trousers: marc aurel, vest: hanro, shoes: courtesy of schuh

Hey Sabine, I love your use of the jacket to convey your story. Your colour palette is great too. As is the way you have used your belt/ribbon. And as always loving the shots. Xxxx

Thank you, Dvora! True, I think I get more wear out of this old missoni belt than the dress that goes with it.

im a shortie. shorter than you anyway. ca 165. and i rarely wear heels. i think rightfully i should be 10cm shorter. that i would like ;)

I love those trousers! And I think the brogues look great on you. I'm a flat-shoes girl - but only because I find it hard to walk in heels!

I'd never all this world choose a pair of pink brogues but I'm rather loving them on you, Sabine. Like you I'm a strictly heels or flip flops girl, those extra cms make all the difference. I do like how you've styled them and I'm loving the faux suede blazer. xxx

Sabine, you look beautiful and I do love the shoes!!! You look like spectacular Fall Fairy - the color combination is absolutely flawless. I can understand you being uncomfortable in the shoes without heels very well.:-)))

Sabine, this is such a delightful post. Whilst I enjoy wearing high heels - I prefer to swan around in chic ballerinas - must be the ballerina in me - lol.

Ah, your shoes are exquisite and I just adore the feminine Pink colour. You really ought to post flat/brogues shoes more often here.

As mentioned before - you are a stylist - this ensemble confirms this. The trousers are very nice, too. Do enjoy the rest of the week;-)

omg i am in love with that top in the first two pictures, you look amazing and this made me think, heels or no heel for me. i'm already 176cm tall but heels just look better with most of what i wear

I liked your styling the best. Especially with that coat. The colours are so beautiful together. Together they make the outfit complete. ABout high heels, I am the same. I've always worn heels and I barely owned a flat pair, But recently boyfriend started to convincing me about how its good for the feet with a variation so I try... but being the same lenght as you (exaclty) I know how those 5-7 cm are missing on me too... ha!

I could see how this would be a challenge. I'm not sure I would normally gravitate towards a pair of pink anything , let alone brogues. But you definitely made it work! I love the camel and pink color scheme!! Very nice!

I adore the shoes! And you have matched them so nicely with a lovely outfit!!
And if you ever get a chance, you should definitely try a pumpkin spice latte! I get them at Starbucks, but I am sure other coffee shops carry the right stuff sometimes to make them.

Love how you're standing on your tip toes in almost every pic - they may be flats but you're pretending they're heels! Hee hee!

Love those pinky trousers. Pretty. x

Jen, you noticed? I nearly commented on this myself. Just can't accept a flat foot, it seems.

The pink brogues have stolen my heart! This is such an awesome combination. you look great, as usual.

See, I'm the opposite - as much as I love heels, I feel rather uncomfortable in them. Considering my natural height is around 179cm, so sometimes added height is just too much and I feel like a giant. Pretty little flats are my best friend.
Gorgeous look you've put together. Those shoes are rather lovely, aren't they? I should get myself some brogues. They're comfortable, you say?
