Do you also find that it often needs visitors to finally do the things you wanted to do for ages? Like walking along the beach or going to the museum or visiting ancient castles… When I was standing in the midst of all this Tudor delight (with Greek/Roman touch) I wondered: 'What took me so long?'

What luxe surroundings and what beautiful ladies in the foreground. Sarah makes a fabulous statue. xxx

you know what? you're absolutely right. it sometimes takes a visitor for one to do all the 'touristy' things one always wanted to do but never found the time to do them.

this place looks like an absolutely delightful experience.

I think sightseeing definitely works better with visitors. There's so much I had planned on seeing in Paris and never get around to unless I get an out-of-towner near me. Love the setting!

It looks like a lovely castle!

I am definitely a victim of this, I'm trying to get out and enjoy the stuff around me more often :)

thanks so much for sharing. you make me want to go there too
i love it when the trees have lost all their leaves. when they're bare and naked. its amazing.
hope you're having a good monday dear

btw. i talk to my parents every two days or so.. it's always nice to talk to them.
i just cant stand the fact that everybody is getting older. it scares me.

you are so right! when the out-of-towners visit, one must pull out all the stops and do the big stuff! and it must have been amazing to visit this place. wish i was there right now!

It does take visitors to make me do this too. But isn't it brilliant to be a tourist with them. This is a beautiful place you have been to. Makes me want to go as well. Xxxx

you hit the nail on the head it was just the other day when I realised that I haven't actually been to the quite 'famous' places in London until i was talking to my cousin in America as she was thinking about visiting. oh dear

oh well love the pics as it looked like you guys had a blast. x

I know what you mean, when someone visits us we end up exploring a little more than usual and enjoy it too! Really nice pictures!

Oh wow, this place is gorgeous!! I would want to go there all the time to take pictures! I know exactly what you mean, though. I always feel funny doing "touristy" sorts of things unless I have a visitor with me. It's almost like they give you a good excuse to explore things.

What a gorgeous place you're in! I agree! When we had visitors we went to local spots and tried stuff we always planned to do but never did.

lovely photos, and I completely agree, there are certain parts of the city I've only been able to discover with visitors! :)

the pictures are amazing! the tree in the background of pic 1 - amazing! somehow it reminds me of my scotland trip ages ago, when i went to see so many castles and abbeys. loved it.

don't tell me that the young lady is your daugther?!

Indie.Tea said...

Yeah, visitors force you to see those things you normally put off :)
Both of you guys look great in those pictures, and the spot is lovely :)

Fab pics - looks like a lovely place. I'm exactly the same - enjoy having visitors as it takes me out of my normal routine and makes me appreciate the local area. xx

Oh yes!!! Isn't that one of the best things about visitors? Love all the pix! xoxo

You are such a fab photographer - love these shots and convinced I've been here not so long ago - is this part of the grounds of a house near the Avery stone circles? Recognize the trees and have a shot fairly similar!

SabinePsynopsis said...

Veshoevius - Thank you. It's Hever Castle in Kent (hence the slightly silly title); home of Anne Boleyn. I've been meaning to visit it for years, but as mentioned it often takes visitors to do these things.

Those gardens are just breathtaking! And yes, we have the same tendencies in our neck of the woods! We live 15 minutes away from the one of greatest cities in the world and there are still some "tourists" things we've never done, like go to the Top of the Empire State Building, visit the Statue of Liberty and so much more!

How incredibly fun to do a photo shoot in a garden like that! Oh, you live the life don't you? You are two beautiful ladies!
