Pinstripes Make the (Wo)Man?

Yesterday Anonymous commented on The Sartorialist: 'Pinstripes make the man'. Which made me wonder: Maybe the woman, too? And though I fear no one at my workplace suspects it, I secretly nourish a love affair for corporate dressing - a pinstripe suit seems just the thing.
Pinstripe suits for women… Do they actually exist, I wonder.

Fabulous look, Sabine! I used to wear a morning suit for work (traditional black and grey pencil skirt, wing collared shirt, black cravat and a fitted jacket) and I tell you, I was scary. I swore my personality changed each morning when I slipped it on. xxx

Pinstripes for women most definitely exist. I used to wear them all the when I went to work [which was al most 4 years ago! :( ] ... You are rocking them btw, I wanna go back to work just to dress like this!

Oh dear, I fear I totally outed myself as a corporate ignoramus... In my company they leave me alone because I'm being considered the 'weird European' (who luckily is allowed to wear whatever she likes.)

Yes, love. Menswear is always sexy, IMO. Except maybe on Rosie O'Donnell. You're looking lovely!

uh oh. do you know what you've done? yep, i can hear the people chanting 'corporate ignoramus' as you call it. ha ha.

but having said that, i think women do look sexy in a well fitted pinstripe.

I agree. I have a pair of pin-striped trousers I pull out when I can't decide what to wear. I like the relaxed but smart look of the jacket on you.

I love pinstripes. For the longest time I felt they make you look thinner too ;) I am not sure if that's the case for real, but it's fun at work all the same! :)
