So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

Psynopsis Analog Fish Photography in Morocco

Psynopsis Analog Fish Photography in Morocco
Since I mentioned to Jill that in my young, pre-digital photography days I used to travel with a dried fish and she wrote back: 'I want to see this!'. Moving and moving again, and moving to different countries, and moving again has lead to losing a lot of my stuff (or stupidly having it stolen, but I recently found some pictures I took of my star model in Morocco. Did he get smelly in more moist climates? I really can't remember anymore…

Sabine you're killing me! I am laughing so much it hurts. I love that line (so long and thanks for the fish). They're actually great shots, too.

This is so uncanny: I was just finally looking @ my RP shots, I was going to say the same thing about the Stolen Girlfriend line - I don't know anything about the fights tho - so when I do eventually get round to posting my shots, I'll just refer back to you. Or maybe just quote you.

That is so funny. So you don't know where it ended up? Just think, one of these days, you're going to open a box.. I've got to find those shoes now.

Thank you btw: I'm truly honoured!

I like the idea of your fish as little travel companion, I like how in some pictures he looks like a stone!

My pleasure, Jill! Lets hope the poor thing is not rotting in some unopened box.

Re the fights at the SGC shows... I read about them on the net. The shows are notorious anyway, it seems, and then a model got in a fight with a journalist (I think). It all sounds like great fun.

Whoa, very artistic! So do tell, why do you drag a dead fish around the globe with you? I'm intrigued! And I'll most likely be heading to Morocco next year, so maybe I'll need to find a model creature to take with me too... (if not, I'll just take one of my rubber duckies...).

Okay... I had to read that two times to make sure I got it right, and I am still not sure... Did you travel with a dry fish? And if so, was it as a mascot, or for a photo project? Oh, you are the good kind of crazy. I love it. Big bear hug from Sandra :-)

Bear hugs back! Good kind of crazy must be better than the bad kind, no? Mmhh, I think it was some kind of project. I liked the idea with the fish being a fixture in all kind of different places.

But a rubber ducky should be just as fine (and less smelly)!

This is soooooo fantastic! Sabine, I could just picture fabulous you with a a dryed fish in your suitcase:-))).The pictures are great to look at, of course, when you know the stroy behind them. :-) Did the fish have a name by any chance?:-)))))

I love this, Sabine!! Actually, I love all these photo projects! The other day I stumbled upon a blog about a doll that's been traveling the world called Ada (http://ada-experimentaltravel.blogspot.com/). It's so fun and fascinating to see the same object (in your case a fish) in different settings! Perhaps when I start jet setting a bit, I'll have my very own Ada or fish to photograph :)
