Psynopsis DIY Skirt Handknitted Cardigan and Scarf Sheer Dress by Tees

Psynopsis DIY Skirt Handknitted Cardigan Sheer Dress by Tees

Maybe it's because (after Oscar) Cookie Monster was my Sesame Street favourite, but I cannot let go of this jacket which my aunt knitted a loooong time ago for some toddler in the family. One day I snapped it away from all the offspring to come, added some knitted arms and a waistband… and now the blue fluffiness is ALL MINE.

Could wearing the blue monster be the reason that cookies have become my main food source – or is it just the pre-Christmas spirit? Yum-yum-yum!!

P.S. No, I don't bother to do my hair anymore. That's also part of the pre-Christmas spirit.

jacket: handknitted (by aunt)/diy, scarf: presi to Sarah (handknitted), dress underneath: tees (courtesy of Stephie’s shop), wrap skirt: diy, tights: wolford, white socks: sainsbury’s, boots: ash

I like how you modified the sweater so that it fits you, I did the same with an old sweater I wore while a kid..It's such a great idea..I like the color too

Grover is my favorite Sesame Street character, who, of course, is also blue, so I'm totally down with your outfit. I like the socks + tights + boots thing you've got going on. I wish I could pull that off without looking bulky.

You speak of not doing your hair any more: I can totally relate! You should have seen mine yesterday.

Oh....love those shades of blue. It is such a wonderful colour - so calming and soothing. Last summer I found a long midnight blue Moschino dress on Ebay for a fraction of the original retail price. Hm....I've already packed my suitcase ready for tomorrow's journey down south to see my family, and as you may guess it's full of LBD's. Very practical. But I was thinking of maybe bringing one more dress.....hm..maybe I'll take a second look at the blue one? Thanks for the inspiration! You look fab, btw! :)

cookie monster high five! don't you ever let go of this jacket. it's fabulous! love the whole outfit, it's very cute! and you nails... gorgeous. what's the name of the colour? it's a great red for winter - not too vampire-gothic, not too barbie-summer red.

@ Sniff - I'm so glad to have functioned as inspiration. There's something about midnight blue...

@ Kazuko - Merci! I was looking for a Christmassy shade. This is 320 Rapid Ruby from Rimmel 60 seconds (nice & cheap).
