Psynopsis Head of Snow
Having Raynaud Syndrome officially makes me 'allergic to cold', but I can't close my heart to the beauty of white, vast landscapes. Though I haven't figured out if from a photographic point of view snow is alluring or boring; from a modelling point it's plain cold. 'But look,' says Sarah 'all posts now have Marge Simpson hair!'.

I'm jealous. Very, very jealous. I can never get photos of the snow to turn out nicely like yours did.

Thank you, Rosie. Snow is really tricky to photograph. It swallows up all the light. Overexposure is a must. xo

You look incredibly snug, as a fellow Raynauds sufferer I can sympathise. I've noted the tip about overexposure!

very beautiful snow photos! i've never heard of raynaud's syndrome, so i googled it. i feel for you, especially as you live in a colder climate. i can't imagine... i only have low blood pressure which makes me "cold-natured", but nothing at all like your situation.

it's great that you've embraced the beauty of a winter landscape, though!

Luckily I've only got a light version. (When I checked the pics on wiki I realised it could be much worse.) The funny thing is one of the reasons I moved to the UK was the mild weather, but the last few years the winters have been pretty harsh. Still, nothing like Berlin winters though.

I have raynaud's too!! Leather gloves though are the devil, sheepskin mitts help a lot! Gorgeous pics!

I just googled Raynaud Syndrome too - you say you have a mild case - phew! Must be tough to deal with in this weather. Despite my hatred of cold I did want to go out to take photos in the snow but didn't get time. Maybe tomorrow - looks like its bucketed down up there. Love the grey and red against the white.

Sorry I have been off the radar a bit it is manic my end. Raynaud Syndrome - you are right the cold is not for you. I have bad cirulation in my hands and feet and that is bad enough. When it snows all I want to do it curl up. I love Sarah's comment about the posts having Marge Simpson hair. You look great hope you werent out there too long. Xxxx

britain has gone all-white and it's before 'the big day' the 25th.
everybody is in a grumpy mood and blaming it on the local authorities for not doing enough.
pah! i say to them. you try it.

that said, these pics of yours look great. the kids down your end must be having a time of their lives.

down my end it's like they say, 'christmas came early' for them. what with no school and all.

I just googled Raynaud's Syndrome, and it sounds awful. I love the cold, so I can't imagine being "allergic" to it. But at least you got some pretty pictures from the cold weather!

I have never heard of allergy to the cold :(

Good that you've got yourself all wrapped up though. This winter looks set to be fierce!

Poor you Sabine, i'm sure it's not your favourite season. Our winters just seem to get worse every year :/

The photos are lovely! The Marge Simpson observation is hilarious...and I can totally relate since my hands are extremely sensitive/numb to the cold...never been officially diagnosed myself, but I strongly suspect I have this as well, meaning gloves, gloves, gloves...hope you are staying warm!

I want snow! Love these pictures with all gray and the touche of red - so pretty against the snow.

I wouldn't mind snow if I lived where you do! But here in the city, there's no parking, the snow get's dirty immediately and after the initial snow fall, it becomes a slushy mess! But this sure does look magical!
