Psynopsis Streetstyle London LFW Ombre Hair
Fashion Week started slightly surreal for me. Yesterday evening Jill and I were asked to give a fashion interview for Next (I think we did fabulously discussing the upcoming trends and what we are going to wear in the next few days – just not sure the editors will see it that way, too) and this morning I walked straight into Scott Schuman and Garance Doré. I normally consider myself pretty cool in the face of celebrity (bumping into David Cameron the other day just about got a wry smile out of me – and a post, okay…), but Scott and Garance – they mean something to me! The Sartorialist was the first blog I ever read, and Garance… well, she's every girls dream bff, isn't she? Plus, to me they are still the gold standard when it comes to blogging and photography. So after standing in front of them like a fish on the shore, mouth opening and closing helplessly, I finally blurted something like 'I love you. You are the reason I started blogging… In fact, I think you are my parents'. No wonder they looked at me slightly worried…
When Garance started photographing a long-legged beauty I thought I can't just stand around like an idiot and secretly take pictures of herstare at her… Luckily I spotted this beautiful lady and remembered I've got a camera myself. (And don't you love her blonde hair ends? And yes, black is still THE colour at fashion week).

Incredible! I am so happy for you! I cannot believe you met Scott. He is our fashion icon and I would have gotten the stupids if I met him. Of course I know you rocked it because you are fabulous.

How fun! I actually saw them from afar near Embankment, but I was in such a rush to get to a show I didn't have time (I'm always late). And the Vogue UK team was swarming around them like moths. Are you going to any shows next week? I'm doing a few on Mon-Wed, work permitting. I didn't do much hanging around outside the venue, but I didn't see too much streetstyle that caught my eye unfortunately. Though as always, I don't blog about Fashion Week ;-)

Fashion, A & o F - I feel I've got to say something here. Fashion Week is always heaving with celebreties but they hardly make me lift my camera. But as a photography blogger I admire and respect these 2 for their craft - Scott for his vision and the guts to start a street style bloggin, Garance for her beautiful photos which often remind me more of paintings. Plus, to say it in Amanda Priestley's words: We might think it was our idea to start a blog, but someone gave us this idea...

Your photos are gorgeous, I love that girl's hair! Also looking forward to seeing the next interview. My best fashion spot this London fashion week was the back of Hilary Alexander's furry hat!

ah, lovely! must be totally surreal to meet somebody in real life you've only read about and followed (not stalked :) ) online before.

wondering if she knows how cool she (garance) looks while taking pictures.

How exciting! I'm sure they were glad to hear you say that and no doubt they get it all the time! I would love to meet some of my favorite super blogger idols! Then again, I'm afraid I've been built them so high in my head, that they may never live up to my expectation ;o)

how awesome! funny how we don't think we'll be shocked when meeting someone famous/looked up to, but it does happen when we don't expect it. i once met prince andrew and could not utter a single word, just a smile and nod.
garance looks so cute here.
enjoy your fashion week adventures!
