Any idea what this is? It's the search for the perfect dotted tights. The dots mustn't be too small, but not too big either, and not too many… In the end I was so exasperated I tried DIY. Acrylic paint you can never get out of your clothes and there's always a potato somewhere in the house. Still need to work on the technique though…

you're killing me, Sabine! :) you've got some bright ideas. love your creativity and fun ways you look at fashion! so entertaining and charming!
Ha, brilliant! I'm guessing sarah's not afraid of heights...or maybe she is and you're up to your old sadistic tricks again ;)
I think I once had the perfect pair Sabine from good old toppers but they ripped second wear and they never stocked them again...sniff
You guys are two peas in a pod. So fun! These polka dot tights are no joke!
Kazuko - Thank you! It was worth a try, no? In the end I'll probably just buy some the good old way.
Vint Junky - I had the whip out: 'On to the roof with you!'...
Also I forgot to mention that they immediately ripped. 10 dernier - obviously not for me :(
You are a genius, they look like a work of art. xxx
i think it is beautiful! and you get MAJOR points for being so creative and up for experimentation! you are not a drone! i am kind of a drone and buy what is available. lol

Those are gorgeous! I haven't done any potato stamping in years :(

Good job on your tights! I never would have thought of using a potato.
cool idea, i love your style
You always make the coolest things - love what you did w/the tights!!
What a great idea! The tights look nice.
And I thought the 'experiment' meant with photography - I love the textured look of that first photo - but they are all gorgeous.
You are unique at creating beautiful and inspiring things, my dear Sabine.
Your photos are breathetaking.

These are so amazing and creative, the photos are lovely!
You are too amazing! I think they're fabulous! :)
Great photos - when I first saw the top one I thought it was a black and white of trees until I scrolled down and saw the feet and realised they were legs - nicely done!
Rei Kawakubo would certainly approve Sabine!

These look pretty good to me! xx
First, they're beautiful photos. Second: when I started my blog, and knew about 6 people online, I had a 19 year old 'blog friend' in China (who has since stopped blogging) who did the most beautiful drawings in black marker on a pair of tights. I designed a logo for her and wanted to help her start a little Etsy shop. She sent me a pair with my name - IN MANDARIN - running down one leg. Wore it proudly to my first Fashion Week, Sept 2009.
Then, I hand washed it. She had used non-indelible ink. My Mandarin words ran down the sink, like tears in the rain.
that's pretty different, good job well done
You are alsways so positively creative. Another reason why it's fun to visit your delightful blog.
