Life | Call of the Bluebell

Psynopsis Bluebell
Psynopsis Black Outfit Zara Leopard Pumps
Maybe it's spring, maybe it's because I've totally overgorged myself at the feast of blogging… but lately I've not been terribly interested who's in front of Scott Schuman's lens or to which party Garance Doré is invited and rather feel like roaming the woods, trying new knitting patterns, baking some bread or – oh, le horreur – just hanging in front of the tv watching 90210 with Sarah without a computer in my lap… Is it just me, or have you also been feeling the call of the real wild world lately?

Note to clothes-buying self: Next time I find shoes as comfortable as these ones – buy 2 pairs.

Love the shoes and I love your peace with nature. Can I just come over and hang out in your backyard? And then maybe wear your shoes?

Sure, Tiffany, I'd love that!!

I have! I'm super busy and can't find the time and energy I used to - neither can several of the bloggers I usually read either - think there's a certain period after which you get burnout. Love the bluebell pics - have some in my garden - nice contrast with the leopard print!

i think i had a similar feeling, too recently. and i even got a little upset reading blogs that i used to like, thinking: "are you and me really living on the same planet? and do i really want to share the same stuff?" and then you start blogging again, 'cause you think you have to after such a long break; the second post after the break is already easier, and then you're back and it starts making sense again. :)

looks like you needed a break, but it's really good to have you back with such a beautifully green post. (in theory i wanna live in the woods.) you look g o r g e! and remember? - i've got very similar shoes, but unlike yours they hurt like hell after less then 30 min (and i wanna kick Christian L's ass for that. with his own shoes.)

good to have you back! xoxoxo

Thank you, Kazuko. It all got a bit too much, but it makes me so happy that you say this. These expensive shoes, eh?... Is it a terrible thing to say that these were only 40 quid? But my new wonderful Jil Sanders, they hurt SO MUCH!

Love these pix, sweetie! They're so beautiful! Can't wait for spring to stick around here. We get glimpses of it but I'm stuck inside the concrete jungle. I need a nice lovely weekend in the country. Maybe this weekend, if I'm lucky :)

Oh and those shoes are to die for! I would wear them every single second! xoxo

so glad you are getting outdoors. it is not good to be slaves to the computers/blogs/internet all the time. getting outside is downright refreshing, particularly when the weather is fine.

hope you are doing ok!

I think it is the time of year, a time for new things. I have a deadline to meet when that is done I will see if the call of the wild follows me too. I love the bluebells I am fortunate to have a lovely carpet of them in my garden. Lovely shots as always. Xxxx

Dear Sabine, I love bluebells and your pictures are gorgeous.

I much prefer the real wild world to the real world! xx

Funny how expensive, new shoes always hurt! My Funkis cripple me every time I wear them, they are one of the few new shoes I have bought.
Know what you mean by needing a technology break and the need to do just ONE thing at the one time... multi tasking can really be tiring.

lovely shoes! and i think just getting a non tech break is a feel good in today's age.

Being in/among nature always rejuvenate us somehow! I'd like to see pics of you baking...flour all over your face like Vivienne West wood models~

I balance blogging with long walks in nature, work, travel, cooking for friends, drawing, painting, playing the piano and solitude.

This way I can enjoy them all without getting that "burn out" feeling. I adore the image of the unspoiled nature above. Enjoy the nature, sweetie, it good for one's inner balance;-)

The weather is too nice to spend it behind a screen. I agree: I'd much rather have a picnic in a park rather than anything else.

Yeah, I felt like that a little while ago. Then the weather took a turn for the worse (surprise!) and now I'm looking to escape reality again.

Beautiful pictures, as always. I'm excited to finally see green again...

P.S. Your bear story sounds horrifying. I've lived here 21 years and I've only actually seen 3 bears in my entire life time (I've seen signs, however, of many more...they like getting into the garbage and bird-feeders around here). I refuse to go camping, and I think that's one of the ideas why.

Fab pics. I'm trying to spend less time online and more time in the real world too - need to get out in the sunshine more. Hope you have a lovely Easter. xx

Yes yes yes! You're not alone. I hear you loud and clear sabine.
I'm really questioning all those hours spent taking and editing outfit pictures i don't even like. I'd really like to change the format of the blog. But i wouldn't be comfortable calling it some kind of photography blog as i'm only too aware of my shortcomings sheesh sorry for the rant!
Anyhoo beautiful pics sabine, and i think it's nice to reconnect with the real world.
Happy easter and I'll be here waiting when you return

I hear you! I've been on a hiatus that hasn't really ended :o/ It started because I was sick and now I'm enjoying my time off (and way from the computer), so who knows. I may just cut down my posting to 2-3 week for a while.
