With all these holidays (yeap, here on the island we are getting a day off so we can get properly drunk for the royal couple) I'm starting to develop the rhythm of the cat – waking up at 5am, heading off to the fields to communicate with the sheep and collapsing back into bed when the sun is up or spending my days with a) painting my nails in as many different shades as possible, b) trying to figure out which other colours should be added to the still-too-small knit scarf and c) finishing the Hunger Games. Life is good, so I'm not going to bother you with my puffy, doughy, it's-way-too-early morning face.

I need to visit you! So bad. I just love where you live. And I cannot believe you get a day off. That's crazy!
It's insanely beautiful there! And I could get used to that rhythm as well, it sounds pretty good - early mornings can be great.. or so I hear.. :p
ooh i love your manicure! enjoy your holiday :)
Wow Sabine, your photos are true work of art.
I love the one with the scarf matching your nails, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That beats Prada for me anytime, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Sounds like life us very good Sabine. Gorgeous pics too x
i just love this post!
1. i know from past posts that you're living in a beautiful place, but i didn't know that it's actually a jane austen film adaption you're living in! would you let me know where that picturesque place is?
2. your manicure calls my name! inspiration, i can see you coming. love how the colours match and mismatch (the turquoise in between makes it really interesting). also love your matching shawl.
3. i always dig new book introductions/recommendations. after work i only wanna read light but thrilling stories (i'm into UK thrillers), real page turners, nothing tragic or philosophical (this is for long holidays only). the hunger games doesn't sound like my book at first sight, but the reviews are so full of praise... interesting!
Second picture is very very cool! I love the location.. I wish have something similar in the future for my relax times!

Ha ha, Kazuko, did you see 'Pride and Prejudice' with Keira Knightly? That was filmed around the corner from us. (The funny thing is when Colin Firth walks towards her over the field in the last scene I though: 'Oh come, not even England can be THAT beautiful'...). Anyway, it's the South-East between London and Eastbourne.
Re the books. The Hunger Games fits into this new genre of teenie books also aimed at adults. Tragic, yes, but also a total pageturner.
Woooow these photos are blowing my mind with there beauty. I wanna be there too!!
Oh I would love to live somewhere green with sheep!
Your pictures are beautiful! And I love that you live in such a serene place. At least you get a day off for the royal wedding! I wish got a day off for elections or something :o/
Such gorgeous photos! I feel like fleeing the big smoke and running away to the country side every time I visit your blog. I love the bright pink tee!
glad you are enjoying yourself!
your sunrise shot is just incredible.
oh the life of a cat. it looks awfully nice to me, and that is reinforced when i spend a day off with my cats and see how they spend their time.
p.s. NICE BUTT! :0
just to follow up with a total jackass comment: I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THIS STUPID WEDDING IS OVER.
delete this comment. i know -- i am a jerk.
mmmm, beautiful images.
i enjoy seeing how you put colors together. a very cool combo here. i'm now convinced that redheads can wear anything; anyone who thinks it's limiting is wrong, lol!
it's great to be living in the UK right now just for the bank holidays.
i love the second last picture.
this is fabulous, i love the photos
Sabine I am happy to hear you are enjoying some laid back time. You are shots are as beautiful as always. Looking forward to seeing your face again though. Xxxx

Love the second to last photo- the colors on your nails and the scarf are beautiful! Is it hand-knit? Also, what do you think of The Hunger Games- do you like it so far? (I haven't read it, just wondering if I should add it to my list)
star-crossed smile
Nnenna - if you like Harry Potter or His Dark Materials definitely. It's well exciting and got a feisty heroine.
P.S. Yeap, it's machine knit with crochet edging, but not quite finished.
I'm soon about to move to a farm with animals, so your description of the animals close to you warms me a bit. Based on your life, it seems very possible to mix stylishness with farm life!
It looks like an idyllic setting to watch the wedding on telly. Reminds me of NZ -all those sheep!
Fabulous mix of colours in your outfit, and that landscape shot is amazing... I saw some Tshirts commemorating the royal wedding on TV last night and they just said "thanks for the holiday", haha...
Oh wow sabine! I love that sunrise shot. I keep meaning to catch one but by the time i get the four (teen!) year old organised we miss it. Spontaneous and impulsive she is not.
Beautiful images again

I love the sunrise shot! You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. That shawl is fabulous and so is your manicure...hoorah for colour. xxx
Gotta love the English countryside! I'm fleeing the Royal Wedding for the Scottish countryside in a few hours. I'm so over the whole wedding thing, it's not even funny (London is a Union Jack nightmare). Love the scarf an the adorable sheep :) Enjoy your long weekend!

All of your pictures are gorgeous, but these are especially breathtaking. The second one! I just cannot drag myself out of bed that early, even if it means never getting beautiful shots like this.
I keep waking up at 6 myself! I barely make it past 9pm! Haha! Where you live looks spectacularly beautiful!

amazing blog:)
Amazing colours. x hivenn
Love the scarf.
Of all the blogs I visit, yours are among the most fabulous original images. You live amidst beauty, my friend. Wow!
oh wow those photos are so powerful. Love the way you have captured the countryside. It looks so peaceful and tranquil. The sheep laying around in the green field, just amazing. The photo of the morning sun, oh nature can be so beautiful and I don’t pay enough attention to it. If I want to relax I just look at the second photo. The green color over your overall looks amazing with the pink, perfect color combination. those sheep’s must be very happy when they see you wearing that
Sabine you are an incredible photographer! These photos are amazing!
