So, have you done it yet? The fish pedicure… Aaaand, did you like it?? Not for one moment did I think I might have an issue with putting my feet into the water, but when masses of hungry mouths rush to your over-the-water-surface-hovering toes it takes some inner pushing (and lots of hysteric screams and strange grimaces – until the staff thinks you're having a serious mental problem). But still braver than the woman next to us who was so frozen in horror that she just absolutely refused – no matter how much her friends (and everyone else in the place) assured her how 'wonderful' and 'relaxing' the procedure is. But when one extremely hungry sucker made my foot bleed, that was it for her – NEVER!
But even with dripping blood… I loved the sensuous creepiness of it all – and it really leaves your feet super-soft. Next time I'll do hands!

I've heard about this before. It creeps me out, and I don't love the creepiness like you do! Did it hurt? I don't know. I'm sure I'd be the woman next to you, screaming and crying and kicking and moaning. I am intrigued by your pictures, though, no matter how much they make the backs of my legs tingle.

I'm dying to try this,Sabine. There's a special place that's opened in our local shopping centre and I'm totally intruiged. I've heard that it's best to go early in the day when the little fishes are hungry because when their bellies are full they aren't such enthusiastic nibblers.

Kazuko - Yes, I would definitely recommend it! It's one of these things one cannot imagine until you've tried it...
Vix - I changed bassins after 15 minutes because my fish became a bit lazy. I think when they start sinking to the ground they are feeling full.
I wouldn´t mind trying it.

Nothing like laughing out loud first thing in the morning - your comment to Vix about them sinking to the ground when they're full.. it's killing me with laughter.
A friend wanted to bring me to do it a while ago - I forgot what happened, we ended up not going. As someone who loves to swim, I've swam in the murkiest of ponds, lakes, rivers, you name it - I'm sure I've been nibbled by far creepier stuff than just clean little fish.
I just wonder how the experience is for THEM. Lovely shots btw. xx

SO weird, I was just thinking about this the other day! I was walking passed the pedi place and -admittedly- getting a little creeped out by it..
It's not for me. I'm curious about the sensation but not to the extent that I'd try it. If I don't eat fish or wear fish it seems pretty weird to let fish eat me..

Aaah!!! I'm so fascinated! I've never tried it but I've heard of it. I actually don't even know where to go to get it done in NY. I'm sure there must be places. I would probably freak especially after the blood but there must be something about it that makes you say you'll do it again.
