Okay, here's the anatomical knitdress I warned you about… I like it, but it does get looks; and I'm a bit confused – are these good 'oh-wow-what-an-amazing-creation' looks, or 'what-is-the-weird-woman-wearing' looks? (Plus, people in London normally don't bother to stare). Being a fashion blogger and all I should be able to look innocently and revert to my inner Anna dello Russo, but for the days I'm not feeling the angelic face and I-don't-care fashion diva I'll probably just wear it with a jacket on top (naah, I won't turn the collar up, I think in this case it's better worn without the shirt anyway).

It's stunning. I'm not surprised you get stared out, people probably want to know which designer label it is and haven't got the guts to ask. It's so wondefully soft and tactile and adorable under that jacket. x
Beautifully styled, Sabine;-)
I especially like the last image with the belted jacket at the window with the light shining through. Love the curtains, too;-)
It's *incredible*--and a subtle, yet strong fashion statement given the color. If that were available in stores, I'd be dreaming it would fit.
These are definitely stares of awe.
It's amazing! I love it! It's a gorgeous colour too. You've discovered quite a talent there.
WOW you made that? I absolutely love it! I like the way you styled it in the last picture too. Very nice.
I also wanted you to know we moved our blog to wordpress so come check it out. I hope you like it and continue to follow:)

i'm an amateur, but to me it's magical that someone who's not azzedine alaia can knit dresses in that beautiful shape! it is stunning, sabine - as a dress and as a skirt!
I love it! I'm positive they must be 'oh wow, what an amazing dress' stares, but if not it's just because they don't have any vision, dahhhling!
Really cool creation. I can see my dancer friends wearing it like a cover up over leotards!
Amazing, of course!!

"'oh-wow-what-an-amazing-creation' looks, or 'what-is-the-weird-woman-wearing' looks" -- to me, there's no difference ;-)
I totally would have stared and then asked for your photo. You look so gorgeous!
i love it, although i wouldn't wear the shirt underneath
That knit dress is amazing. It looks really good on you!!
The last photo is amazing. I'm sure folks think it's a designer piece and in truth it is!
I too think it is one of those 'I wonder were she got it from looks' ... 'coz I definitely want one if you decide to manufacture more ;) Hehe

I love it! The reason you get looks is it's innovative and interesting (not cookie cutter) Go with it and know they are envious of your style! (-: P.S. Those S'mores on my blog are what we make when camping here - (you can do it at home too) graham cracker, Hershey bar and roasted over the fire Marshmallowa then top w/another graham cracker. BUT these were a variation of that baked in a jar - so cake instead of Hershey bars - so amazingly good!
Oh, they're just jealous! So, the next time you get those funny looks, just look up, flip your hair and walk confidently ;).
Have a fun week, Sabine! ;D
Miki.
oooh the first one's so sexy, I love it!
i concur with fashion, art and other fancies.
Good morning. Thank you for the lovely words!
Kazuko - I'm quite in love with the swingy short skirt - and spent the weekend working on another one - dark and no dress attached this time :)
Intro to my life - I agree, it actually looks better without a shirt underneath, but it would be very hard to wear it during the day without being misinterpreted in which sector you might be working.
I bet you're getting stares because they've never seen anything quite like it...and that's a good thing! I do like it paired with the jacket and belt too :)
you're getting good at this now! have you considered selling yet? i'm guessing it's just a hobby though.
thanks for the congrats
Thank you, Mat. I think if I wanted to sell I would have to think and produce much more 'professionally', which is a very different can of worms. But who knows...
ah ha! the post i was hoping to see...i LOVE the dress. so you get some funny looks wearing it, huh? makes you wonder what people are thinking... anyway, the dress is fab and perfectly suited to you.
That's such a gorgeous dress! The backing to it is absolutely stunning.
Sincerely,
Sabrina
WOW! Coooool!
I agree with the first comment: it's so unique and many people probably haven't seen anything like it before, so they're just curious. So they're giving you the good kinds of stares! You wear it so well, it's unbelievable. I'm assuming you knit it yourself? Talent, I tell you! Talent.
You definitely are being looked at because it is so fabulous! The work that has gone into it is so clear. Totally AMAZING! x
I really like it because you will probably never see anything like this outfit. Ever. It's totally unique, and that makes it amazing.

and you are the tiniest thing! i could bench press you! lololol. you are so tiny! and so fab. and let the uptight drones stare at you and wish they were as unique and interesting as YOU are! seriously.
I like it both ways. Your talent goes from strength to strength. Xxxx
I think it's great - intricate and interesting. Have to admit to liking it with the shirt too though. xx
We Shop Therefore We Are
Well I'm looking and saying- what an amazing creation, I love it! Is it see-through or could you get away with wearing it without a shirt underneath?
star-crossed smile
Its very cute...I think you should team it up with a contrasting coloured top underneath so that the beauty of the knit is prominently visible.
Been MIA with blogging, but your blog has inspired me once again. Am back. Cheers!!!
Well, I have to say, if I spotted you strolling around in this, MY look would mean "WOW! It's incredible/ amazing/stunning," and other suitable adjectives. Let it shine in all its glory - don't cover cover any bit of it!
WOW! very very interesting!
Love this post, it's not the same thing....original and unexpected...
