If there was a fashion bloggers' heaven it would have to be a Ladurée café with an endless supply of rainbow coloured macaroons and creamy cakes (with absolutely NO calories at all, bien sûr!)... and there is a new celestial installation on planet earth, in Covent Garden to be exact. So after our latest, totally exhausting shopping trip, intended to find a knee-length school skirt for Sarah, ending with pink jeans and green stilettos for me (and still no school skirt, but at least black jeans… [I really have to work on the dress code of English girls-only grammar schools, if it was for me black leather mini skirts, lace-up boots and whips for all students would be obligatory])… we crawled to ssee cake place.
The instant sugar flash nearly made me purr and so content I didn't manage to take many pictures, but if you want to see more I remember Shini visited the place a while ago and worked her usual photo magic... And if you are too far away from sugar heaven – I spent the weekend trying out the original recipe from the Ladurée cookbook… and will - bien sûr! - share my experiences. Stay tuned!

Ahh the curse of the all girls grammar school uniform. I remember it well! Wish you'd designed mine!
Laduree looks amazing, really really need to go!
Aahh, merci... Sans ou avec fouet? Okay, I'll stop with the wannabe french now.
I was ther eon my last trip!!! It was HEAVEN!!! And thankfully before the 'no-sugar' phase!!! You got my mouth watering ... And that uniform ... we had it in Indian Schools too! After all our schooling system IS British reminiscent ... though now looking back I kinda miss it! :P

p.s. I went to an all girls school when I lived in london so i know what you mean with the uniform lol
Oh yes, the English all-girl's grammar school uniform. Ours was so hideous it was voted "Ugliest School Uniform in the country" on kid's TV!
Sarah looks like she's in cake heaven. I don't like cakes (I know, I'm a freak) but they do look so pretty. x
We had a whole lunch at Laduree in Paris this month (with real food, not just dessert)! It was lovely.
I love the Laduree in Covent Garden. I definitely need to go again.
Oh, yummy!
A day of shopping with an ending of delicious dessert...I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day!
Ahh, it looks like an amazing place! And I can't wait to see how your version of the recipe turns out! =)

Hi my dear-wow, they look soo delicious and gorgeous photos as usual! have a great week too xx
Having a nice quiet early morning catch up on your blog, birds singing outside: I've missed so many posts, and they're beautiful. I didn't realise they'd opened in Covent Garden - let's go when we're back and you're next in town!
It's funny how in the time I've been blogging, macarons have shoved cupcakes out of first place for fashion press events (I remember one catwalk show even gave away Ladurée: I ate some but saved the rest: they go rock hard and last forever, as objects of art).
The first time I experienced Ladurée was with a Parisienne friend, Hind, who was moving from London and treated me. It was.. heady. Proustian. Where is that post... ah, here it is:

Okay I'll shut up now. There are other posts I want to comment on! Like those shoes. And your homemade macarons! Hope you're having a lovely summer. xox
Oh Sabine, I love your pictures xx
I LOVE Laduree. I've been in PAris and London...nothing beats it!
