Psynopsis Rag & Bone Shirt Pierre Hardy Clutch
It's been a long time since I felt excited about them, but with all these dual and multi tones for  autumn/winter I'm feeling a strong I-want-a-new-bag pull, and when I saw this Pierre Hardy clutch it was time for some serious maths: My birthday is only another 253 days away (not true, more like 30), it's been years since I allowed myself a proper expensive bag… Yesss, the perfect birthday present from me to myself. The bag is as beautiful in real life as it was on the website; but what I didn't realise is – how small is a clutch?! Phone, credit card, keys, some coins and a lipstick. C'est ca. Feeling lady-like really calls for discipline…

Please be assured that I'm not blasé about the riots in London and the rest of the UK, but I don't feel this is the right space for it, especially since there are so many reports and opinions out there already… I guess the best place for discussions and updates is twitter, which also kept me informed what's going on when I met Tiffany from Dancing Branflakes in the London Bridge area yesterday. Tiffany is every bit as lovely as she is in her blog. We had a perfectly riotless evening, and to keep it that way we left when a convoy of armoured police cars arrived.

I heard mention of the riots happening in London on twitter, but in all honesty, I'm terrible when it comes to keeping up with politics and current events. I would rather look a pretty bags...like yours! It's been a while since I treated myself to a handbag, nowadays, it's more photography-related stuff that I treat myself too :) But as long as we indulge in a little something special for ourselves no matter the item or price tag, it's all good! Hope it settles down over there sooner rather than later.

Gorgeous photos. Your purse reminds me of a Rebecca Minkoff one I have been wanting to have for months!

Thinking about everyone in the UK these days.

That bag is just lovely. A perfect treat.

What has been happening in London and all over the country has been awful, but I agree that everything that can be said has been said really, and I think that clearing up the mess and getting back to reality is important right now.

Oh, well done hun. It's so nice that You little bit spoiled yourself, it should be done time to time. We have given just one life, so why we shouldn't enjoyed it.

I just can't believe whats happening in London. It so upsets me.

I can't get over how beautiful these photos are. And yes, a small clutch definitely calls for a lady of temperance.
I really did have a lovely evening with you. Thanks for braving the streets of London with me!

Oh I love it. I really really love it and I haven't been excited by a bag in a long time, either. Very jealous...

i keep on repeating myself, but this bag is truly gorgeous! the handle on top, the chain strap - it's the perfect bag (apart from the fact that you can't throw a folder, your laptop and lunchbox in it - which i think is good! i have one of those all-you-can-carry bags and when i pass by a window and see myself... i look like a dwarf carrying his whole life in a big sack - on his way digging for gold).

the photos... like from an ad (for this bag). congrats, Sabine! all lovely xoxoxo

It really is a small bag. I can't help looking at it and wondering how I will ever fit my stuff into anything this small. But yes, it's lovely. So, a good trade-off.

Sending peace your way.

Kazuko - Thank you! Naturally now I'm carrying around 2 bags, being dwarfed by them as always. Maybe Pierre Hardy would like me to shoot their next ad campaign? (And reward me with LOADS of bags!)

It is so difficult for me to reduce the size of my handbag from a giant-ass thing that can fit my entire life to a small clutch. It's worth it, though. Clutches are so much more appropriate for certain occasions.

Don't feel guilty about not writing about riots. I am definitely not taking it as if you don't care. Just because we have a blog, doesn't mean we have to write our opinion about everything that happens in the world.
Love your new purse! Just checked out your new friend's blog. How lovely!
