Take 10 | Faith Shoes

Sarah: 'You won't be happy!!'
Me: 'What? Why?'
Sarah: 'Your latest project has arrived…'
Me: 'WHAT is this???'
Sarah: 'I think they are supposed to be shoes.'
Psynopsis Faith Leopard Print Shoes

After this we had immense fun making everyone who came through our door walk in them… Wobbly legs, model walk, stumbles, tumbles and all… I don't quite know what the Faith designers had in mind when they put this shoe together. Some Lady-Gaga-McQueen nightmare gone terribly wrong? But while most of my fellow Take 10ers decided to exchange them for something decent I'm holding on to the mad thought that one day they'll reach iconic status. Just call me deluded…

There were a lot of hiccups with this project… Sarah, MJ, Sherin, Vicki, Susie, Ellie, Paula, Harriet and Jen all have a story to tell!

Thank you to Debenhams for sending us this truly entertaining product.

Nice advert for Debenhams. They should take you on as their full time shoes model;-)

Ha! Have I been too nice about these shoes then?

I quite like them, simply because they are sure to get people talking which drives traffic to their site. Isn't that the intent? Clever!

Love your post on these, but I also love the shoes! If you change your mind and are looking for a new home for them, send them my way!

I hear you, Madame G! I've already put them in the deepest corners of my wardrobe, hoping that in 20 years they'll be my pension plan... But if I'm giving up hope - they are yours!

Totally NOT a fan of these. You wore them really well with that neutral outfit though.

So, shoes to remain seated in then?? I agree with the comment above - somehow you make them work rather fabulously, even though they're not something I'd buy myself. Wish I'd seen everyone running the gauntlet of trying to walk in them.

oh man they are awesome Sabine I love the cutouts!!

Hi there, didn't think anyone could pull these off but you nailed it with your choices. The shoes could not be anything but centre stage and all the other pieces merely supporting players, but I love khaki and white so I am biased :)

I would not be able to walk in these either and they would make me way too tall. But I think if we saw them walking around the mother ship at LFW we wold all go wow and snap them. There is theatre in them shoes. Your styling is perfect for them. Xxxx

These are fantastic shoes. I'm glad you didn't return them :-) I love the (calf?) skins on the floor and ikat clutch you surrounded them with while remaining grounded in safari colors.

i know i have a bit of a soft spot for crazy shoes but these really are gorgeous - well worth keeping! x

You look like you could pull off even those though, I am always partial to people with amazing hair! Good on Debenhams with all these hilariously honest reviews - I imagine those shoes would make a great conversation piece!

Pratishtha Durga said...

Great idea. They are just the kind of crazy that makes it big some day. Hope you have a good week ahead.
