Take 10 | QVC Butler & Wilson Ring

Psynopsis Butler & Wilson Ring
Psynopsis Butler & Wilson Ring on Foot in Water
"Nononono… I sit in the water, with my clothes on and you take pictures… But we need the ring in focus and it has to look like a swimming-pool!"… "What? Why don't you understand?! Noooo, don't leave me now…" In the end I sat in the water with my second batch of wet clothes and a soggy remote control and still couldn't get it right. Which is a shame because a turquoise background would have been so perfect with the glitzy bunny.

I think the others had drier ideas for their rings. So go and check out Sherin, Sarah, MJ, Susie, Ellie, Paula, Jen, Harriet and Vicki. And P.S. - I loooooove the ring, it's the only piece of jewellery I wear (except for earrings, but they don't count), even if it makes my right hand preeetty heavy (which could come handy in a fight...).

Big Thanks to QVC for sponsoring this Take 10 challenge.

I do love that you tried the aqua approach- very bold and fun. I like how your mind thinks!

I love these rings. I like how they gave each person a different one. And you in a fight? Haha- you are the kindest person I know. I think you'd hug them first.

Ha ha, Tiffany, I grew up with 3 siblings. Lots of teeth smashing and hair ripping, I tell you...

Hahaha, ah, Sabine, how you suffer for your art! But I can so relate. I don't even know how to attach my digital camera to my big metal tripod that I brought from NY from when I used my dad's film Pentax, so I rely on Him for any self style shots. And He is so unco-operative. All my photos I'm just glaring at the camera, or shouting.. but you've achieved your goal beautifully. How did you get it pool colour? You didn't dye the water aqua, and thus, your clothes, did you?

I love your creativity, passion, vision. And I love that ring! It's such fun, and if fashion isn't fun, then I don't know what is.

I did, Jill. I used food dye - and made sure the clothes wear of a darker shade :)

Marvelous! I love your photography challenges. How did you do it? I still don't have a good relationship with my tripod and timer :(

Love that ring. I had a pair of pave fox brooches as a child that your ring reminds me of.

Marvelous pics ... increasingly interested in rings like this, possibly chuncky and with (unexpected:) subjects. Are you familiar with those by Calourette?

Best,

regarding it being heavy-> fighting - it's interesting how some rings actually get banned from stores, because of the safety aspect of them.. i remember it happened to H&M to a double ring they had to discard.. and it was one of those rings that everybody wanted..
also there were the safety issues regarding choker necklaces as well- from another swedish store(lindex)

hope you'er having a good weekend

I had *so* much trouble getting a decent phot with the ring in focus!

I love your idea, and it does look rather marvelous in the photos against the colour of the pool!
