I've been brooding... about London. It's an incredibly inspiring, vibrant, beautiful, exciting and BIG* city – and even after nearly 10 years the place still often is a mystery to me.** So I've been thinking... Why not ask others? What they love about their city, where they like to go… (c'mon, hand over the insider tips!). My first interviewee is Sherin – not only because I love her and her blog, but also because I know she's got the stamina to do 6 press days in a row when my limit is 2.*** So the girl knows places. We met up and I asked her to answer some questions...
• My favourite place is… Alexandra Palace, in North London.
• It's special because… I practically grew up there. I used to live in Hong Kong, and used to visit London and my family in the summers. We went to 'Ally Pally' practically every day. It was always such a great atmosphere as there is a fair, ice skating, boating and even deer.
• The best time to come is… During the summer, as there's so much going on.
• Don't miss… The view. You can see all of London on a good day.

I totally want to hang out with her in London now. And I love that she got her ring engraved in Arabic. So personal.
I live near Alexander Palace....well, a little further north, 3 tube stops from Wood Green.
Ally Pally is where I used to go training for my runs (in dawn), the breathtaking view of London is best in sunrise and sunset.
i have only been to london once, and i LOVED IT. i was ready to move there, except why would they let me? lol.
i love where i live for the most part. there are many pros, and some terrible cons. but i guess that goes with just about any place short of utopia! lol
This is awesome!! I love learning more about Sherin - I was just thinking last night "how does she do all these events" I find it exhausting too (-: Love your pix of her!!! Now we need an interview with YOU!
I love this idea of you asking others what they love about their city. Sherin seems fabulous! Thanks for intro. Also, I've been meaning to get back to London in the near future and now I want to even more so thanks to this interview :)

I'm loving this series already, Sabine! Especially now because I'm planning a surprise trip to London with the hubs for his 30th birthday in the fall!! Yay...but shhhh ;o) This will definitely give me ideas of places to check out when I go - and I'm hoping I can squeeze in a date with you too!

Hi Sabine - just discovered your fab blog through Sherin and I am loving your amazing photographs.
I have lived in/around London for 8+ years and I have never been to Alexander Palace I fly by it on the train, but it looks amazing I will have to visit.
