Angelica is at the other side of the world… in Perth, where the winter is warmer than our summer here. Gello, we miss you – and not only for your looooooong legs and exasperated look when taking the bloody picture takes ages! ♥ ♥ ♥

Life | C'est-lary

Psynopsis Sabine Menzel in Vintage Kimono Zara Leopard Pumps
We did find the dilapidated dream house – only to be told someone else wants it too, and was there first. Which means the old question of where to? how to? and pourquoi anyway… stays unresolved – and I surely must be the most annoying cryptic blogger around. Even the header started crying over the state of things. Which is why I'll hide in the woods until matters get less blurry. ♥ ♥ ♥

The incredible creations of Charles Lu Loc Hong...  hundreds and thousands of chiffon layers. I did a bit of clothes examining backstage, and they really are impressive - and sooo gorgeous! ♥ ♥ ♥

The other day I was asked if I still enjoy going to fashion shows… hell, yeah! Seeing the shows is one of the best things about being a fashion bloggeress. The only thing I love even more is the time before the show - breathing the electric air before it all starts and stalking beautiful people… ♥ ♥ ♥

Waiting for the Istituto Marangoni postgrad show at the Royal Courts of Justice, London to start...

Aaarrrgghh, finding the right home feels like trying out 101 rings and something always doesn't quite fit. We thought we had found the perfect place – a dilapidated 'something' with potential… but when it comes to living spaces things never run smoothly. Off to Berlin now to look at the world of living there. Surely there must be gold somewhere??!? ♥ ♥ ♥

Psynopsis MyFavouriteThings Yellow Irisses
I feel MyFavouriteThings Yellow is an epic failure. I just couldn't find anything yellow in my wardrobe… Oh, wait…

1) one lonely t-shirtaaaand
2) the cool riding pants I never wear because they just don't suit me at-all...
3) and one of my favourite detective series comes in black and yellow…
4) true, sunshine-golden flowers are always pretty

Is it just me or is yellow a difficult colour to wear?

London | MyFavouritePlace | Harriet | Dishoom

Psynopsis Streetstyle London Where Is Harriet Tesco Skirt Topshop Leather Jacket

The wonderful thing about the MyFavouritePlace series is that it gives me a reason to meet up with people I always wanted to meet. Like Harriet. For over a year we've been collaborating in the Take 10 project, but never managed to meet. The reason for this might also be that Harriet is accomplishing the colossal task of running her wonderful blog Where Is Harriet and having a full time job. So I was all the happier when she agreed to meet me at Dishoom where we had a lovely chat, shared some Indian deliciousness and I could find out where she got that t-shirt from… because I want it!

Psynopsis MyFavouritePlace Dishoom London

My favourite place is… Dishoom London – a Bombay cafe in the heart of Covent Garden.
It's special because… my friend Reda and I meet here for dinner nearly every week - it's a ritual. The food is amazing, the staff are so friendly (and maybe know us by name now...) and they have created a real experience which is unlike eating anywhere else, and a cult following to go with it!
The best time to come is… for dinner and a cocktail.
Don't miss… the house black daal is just so good! With lots of garlic naan for dipping.

I couldn't part with… my topshop dinosaur t-shirt. I searched high and low to find it and it reminds me of being six and the total and all consuming obsession I had with dinosaurs back then!
My favourite city is… London of course! I could never get bored here - I am always turning a corner and discovering something new.
I love to shop at… Covent Garden is right around the corner from Dishoom and it has some lovely shops. Don't miss Kate Spade and Aubin and Wills on Floral Street and all the lovely little shops in Seven Dials.
My favourite website… I spend my life on bloglovin to the point where the number of blogs I follow is getting totally out of hand! I can't help it though - there are just so many amazing creative people out there!

Style | Cliffhanger

Psynopsis RCA Graduate Fashion Show Colette Vermeulen
And then she fell off a cliff and was never to be heard of again… Naaahhh! No cliff, no dramas. Just lil'ones – like a potentially new job (quite the dream company, so fingers crossed…), and also a potential new home... Nothing decided yet, but I'm frozen in anticipation.

So instead lets all admire the beautiful artwork of Colette Vermeulen's jacket. Another student from the Royal College of Art whose work made my knees wobble. ♥ ♥ ♥

So, is gold the wearable version of yellow (the most difficult colour of all!) or just a spruced up beige? In any case, it's definitely my favourite glitzy hue…

1) Shine On. Gold beauty products are just so pretty… And if I ever manage to turn my skin from reddish-white to bronzed this summer I'll put the golden stuff all over my face.
2) Oriental Gold. Annick Goutal’s Ambre Fetiche is a bit too oriental for my everyday use, but for the evenings it makes me feel like strolling 'through oases, desert sands and spice markets'. Ok, that's from their website, but it describes it perfectly.
3) Gold Coins. The keyring purse was a gift from lovely Andrea and I use it every day.
4) Gold Braid. Sarah's gold belt. Goes with a lot.
5) Gold Me. Yahaa... The necklace is from the sewing shop, t-shirt 2nd hand and the skirt vintage Chanel. But the…
6) Gold Trainers need an extra picture because I LOVE them. They're Ashs and have the same low cut around the ankles as Converses, but are leather and have a few neat extras like the adjustable strap at the back, a print pattern and a cushioned sole. Maybe it's because I'm more out-and-about these days, but lately I've developed a liking for women who can actually walk in their shoes (moi included). Limping isn't that sexy, and feeling your feet at the end of the day is kinda nice, too. ♥ ♥ ♥

beauty products: touche éclat and ombre solo by yves saint laurent, star bronzer by lancôme, brush by genie, perfume: annick goutal, ambre fetiche from liberty london; purse: oroton, belt: 2nd hand; trainers: ash c/o stanwells boutique.

Love | Dare to Wear…

Psynopsis Streetstyle London Orange Eyeshadow
I'm just boring with make-up… foundation (mixed with moisturiser, trying not to look too smoothed out), kohl, eye-shadow (purple on an exciting day), eye-liner (the existence of which I only discovered a year or so ago. Did I really think they stopped producing them when the 60s ended?!?) mascara, blusher, powder… No lips (would all be gone after breakfast anyway). C'est ca. But I do like orange eyes. Kinda alien... Especially when you meet them in Hyde Park. ♥ ♥ ♥

Life | PJ Loitering

Psynopsis Ghost Vintage Trousers Laura Ashley Vintage Blouse
The Queen's outstanding durability has granted us the longest of weekends… of which I spent 20 minutes sitting in the sun, 24 hours watching Nadal, Federer and Co. whacking it out in Paris and 72 hours in pyjamas. Yes, I was quite smitten by Zara's version, but it seems to be worn by everyone in London, so reverted to the plainer, but cheaper shop-your-closet version. And isn't vintage nicer anyway? ♥ ♥ ♥

Love | Siren Call

Psynopsis Monica Vinader Press Day
I rarely go to press days… I'm not really part of 'the industry' and just feel awkward photographing and blogging about products to which I have no connection. But you know how much I like Monica Vinader jewellery. Very much. So much I practically sprinted to their press day. It was all rather beautiful… Maybe I could expand the old earrings routine?
