Psynopsis Mexican Coat in Snow
I'd forgotten how cold Berlin gets... friggin -12°C/10°F. The gate to Russia, that's what we are here. The world looks quite beautiful though - all white, blue and hazy. I've resorted to taking photos out of the car and from my new favourite hang-out: Ikea's cafeteria, while chewing Swedish almond tart before starting out for another search of what could be the least painful, most affordable kitchen. Every time we leave the place without buying anything I give myself a mental clap on the shoulder and throw a Euro into the 'have more cake' tin… which ideally would stretch to buying a new coat – but it doesn't, so I had to use the old sofa blanket… I quite liked my creation, but Jurgen and Sarah wouldn't stop calling me 'a homeless Mexican grannie' – so I sulked in the garden. ♥ ♥ ♥

i think Hollie would like a "have more cake" tin, she'd be well down with that. gees that is cold, i was thinking it was cold here today hovering around zero. don't think i'd cope well, my circulation is bad.

Glad you like my present selection, it's a kind of hint to anyone reading too. thank you for what you said about NGC, only just started but we've got a first solid product so hopefully others will agree. thanks again

Dancing Branflakes - Definitely! I'd advise anyone who wants to visit Berlin to come from May to October. The winters are just for masochists.

Larissa - Thank you! The coat is the creation I made from the old sofa blanket. It's a kimono cut. I'll have to show it a bit better in another post, I think.

Oh, so lovely and white out there (and do I see a hint of winter berries?). I salute you for doing a photo shoot in the snow! The granny blanket looks so colorful. - J xxx

Ha! Oh yes, I am getting cold just looking at these photos. I used to live in Munich, but yes I know Berlin gets quite cold. There is such beauty in snow though. Stay warm & enjoy yourself! Love the sofa coat! xx

OK, I'm going to stop complaining about this week's morning temperatures of minus 6. However, any excuse to wear a blanket in the swirling snow sounds rather adventurous, so long as followed by a huge mug of tea, a fire and a book to curl up with.

oh wow, it looks beautifully dramatic but freezing! stay in the ikea foodcourt - i love their meatballs!

your pictures are beautiful! but BOY does it look cold there! oy!!!!!!

ikea mostly makes me want to shoot myself. but it is a necessary evil. lol. and i hope you find an affordable kitchen that will make you happy.

i am wanting a new sofa (AGAIN). it is a maddening process for someone like me. i keep thinking about the same very expensive couch that i have wanted for nearly 10 years, but BOY IS IT EXPENSIVE. i just wish someone else would pay for it!
